I'm a senior art director, designer, illustrator with over 20 years agency experience. This includes branding strategy and delivering powerful creative for print, outdoor, DM, digital and POP. I’ve worked with big companies (Starbucks, Microsoft, AT&T, HP) and small ones (TAZO Tea, Iowa Press, Inland-Joseph Apples, UW Medicine). My work has appeared in Communication Arts & HOW.

I'm a creative in the truest sense. I'm a Swiss Army knife of skills and talent.

 

I used to see that as a disadvantage.

 

How wrong I was.

Sure, I know the major software platforms from Adobe Creative Suite to Blender. But I'm also a Logic Pro user because I'm a multi-instrumentalist and like to make my own imaginary soundtrack music.

​

I'm also a mixed media artist, creating large canvases filled with different techniques such as gel image transfer and acrylic stencil. I've shown at galleries and studio tours and find what I create with my hands sometimes translates to the digital world. 

 

That's why I make editorial illustrations for print and web (which are on this site). Combining digital, with analog and even utilizing AI (Midjourney bot) to generate backgrounds, I'm able to express ideas ranging from entertainment to politics.

Because storytelling is the bedrock of everything I do, I'm also a writer with three novels under my belt. Writing is something I've been doing since junior high and what I majored in college (specifically a BFA in film with emphasis on screenwriting from CSULA).

​

So that's what you get when working with me. A mixed bag of skills and talent that I engage for each project.
